House sellers will no doubt be aware that the government has abolished Home Information Packs. The government recognised that HIPs were in many cases never seen by buyers prior to purchasing a property and that they only created a further expense and distortio of the housing market.

Sellers now looking to market their property now only need to obtain an energy performance certificate beofre marketing can commence. Many estate agencies will include the provision of the EPC within their agency commission.

Before choosing an estate agent we would urge sellers to contact us first as we may be able to advise on the most appropriate agent to instruct and the commission they are likely to charge.

2009 Presents A Tough Challenge

Following the closure of our Shifnal office Alex Thompson and Sarah Martin have now strengthened the services we offer from our Wolverhampton City Centre Office.

We are pleased to confirm that we have completed the sale of Cranmoor Lodge Farm at Wrottesley Wolverhampton for £2.3 million, the proceeds of sale to be used for the benefit of local and national charities under the terms of the Will of the late Ellen York.

Richard Alderson now leads our commercial department following Paul Woodman’s decision to leave the firm.
